    1283 lincoln penny???

this penny looks like it's from the late 1200th century... what's with that? I combined 3 different angles. Anybody have a clue what it is? Obviously the line connected to the 9 is raised.

I am guessing it is a die gouge or break, fairly common, but this one is pretty special because of the effect. Also, the 3 looks machine doubled to me. An interesting find!

Thanx for the feedback guys. I'm sure you could imagine my head twirl around a couple of times when i was going through my change and found a penny that was over 700 years old *L*

That should fetch a pretty penny, if you can find a pretty penny you'd trade for that neat one!

When I tried to go to the URL you posted for your picture I was redirected here.

Did you take down your pictures, or have your rights on the website changed?

Why don't you repost the pictures?
